Our ethos

We seek to empower individuals to work through their situation, by providing them with emotional and practical support and information. Our listening service is unbiased and non-judgemental, and we aim to build confidence and self esteem.

Respect for the client is central to our values and we take our lead from the client in terms of the issues they want to explore. If this includes spiritual issues, we aim to support the client to explore what is important to them.

We believe this approach reflects the values of Christ, and we seek to express our Christian faith by serving others in this way. We train listeners and educators to work in a way that is sensitive and appropriate to the client's culture and beliefs, and our service has been proved valuable to people from various faiths and cultures.
